We have been invited to participate in the National Harbor’s Sakura Sunday. Our Sumi-e Society of America’s President and member of NCAC, Carla Jaranson, was on the big stage giving a talk on the history and demonstrated the techniques of Sumi-e to the audience. This high profiled Washington DC’s Cherry Blossoms Festival event consisted of a wide array of free cultural activities including an artisanal Japanese marketplace, cultural performances and several culinary delights by the Potomac River.
