Suzanne Tolstoy, NCAC Co-President, organized a special tour of the Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens (https://hillwoodmuseum.org/) – known for one of the best “decorative arts” museums in Washington, D.C. It is the former residence of a famous businesswoman, socialite, philanthropist and collector named Marjorie Merriweather Post. Hillwood’s large decorative arts collection focuses heavily on the House of Romanov which includes the beautiful Fabergé eggs as well as other highlights such as the 18th- and 19th-century French art. The property also houses one of the country’s finest orchid collections.
